Ordering
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
We start packing your order quickly to get it on its way to you as soon as possible. If you'd like to make a change, please email us at victoria@playfulcomforts.com as soon as you can. If your order hasn't yet been dispatched, we'll always do our best to help.
Can I add something to my order after checking out?
Once your order is confirmed, we're not able to add extra items to the same order - but you're very welcome to place a second one.
We'll happily combine shipping wherever possible. Just email victoria@playfulcomforts.com and if your first parcel hasn't yet been sent, we'll either provide a complimentary shipping code before you complete your second order, or refund any extra shipping paid afterwards.
Shipping and Delivery
Where do you ship?
We currently ship within New Zealand and to Australia. We hope to expand further soon.

How long will my order take to arrive?
We aim to dispatch orders within 1 business day. During busy periods, this may take a little longer. Within New Zealand, most orders arrive within 1–3 working days once dispatched. Australian orders usually take 4-8 working days. You’ll receive tracking details as soon as your parcel is on its way.
Do you offer complimentary shipping?
Yes - shipping is complimentary within New Zealand for orders over NZ$100, and to Australia for orders over NZ$300.
Returns and Exchanges
Can I return or exchange an item?
Absolutely. We want you to love what you’ve chosen. Items can be returned within 30 days if they’re unworn, unwashed, and in their original condition with tags attached. Please note, sale items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged unless faulty. You’ll find full details in our Returns
& Exchanges Policy.
What if my item is faulty?
Our pieces are made with care, but if something isn’t quite right, we’ll look after it. Please email victoria@playfulcomforts.com with your order number and a photo, and we’ll sort it quickly and kindly.
Products and Sizing
How do I choose the right size?
Our sizing follows standard baby and children’s age ranges, with each piece thoughtfully designed to support comfort, movement, and play.
You’ll find specific fit notes in The Finer Details section of each product page to help guide your choice. If your little one is between sizes, we generally recommend sizing up for longer wear.
Still unsure? You’re always welcome to get in touch – we’re happy to help with measurements.
How should I care for my Playful Comforts pieces?
We know your days are full, so our pieces are designed to make life a little simpler by being easy to care for.
Care instructions are listed on each product page and garment label.
Generally:
Gentle machine wash, up to 30°C
Dry flat or tumble dry on low
For knit hats:
Gentle machine wash, up to 30°C
Dry flat
Are your clothes organic?
Our pieces are made from at least 95% organic cotton. In some styles, we include up to 5% elastane to support natural movement and gentle stretch – helping each piece keep its shape while remaining soft and comfortable for your little one.
Are your clothes made ethically?
We work with a trusted manufacturing partner in China, chosen for their transparency, open communication, and commitment to fair treatment, safe working conditions, and standard working hours.
Our garments are all made using organic cotton yarn – a more environmentally responsible choice that reduces exposure to harmful chemicals for both the planet and the people involved in production.
As Playful Comforts grows, we are committed to strengthening traceability and continuing to raise the bar across every stage of our supply chain.

What do you mean when you say your clothes support natural movement and development, and "designed to help them thrive"?
Babies learn through movement and play. Our pieces are designed to move with them, not restrict them, as they learn to roll, reach, crawl, climb, and play. We use soft, flexible fabrics and gentle, intentional fits that support comfort and freedom of movement - giving little ones space to explore, play, grow, and ultimately thrive.
Gift Orders
Can I send an order as a gift?
Yes - every Playful Comforts order is thoughtfully wrapped and designed to feel special from the moment it's opened. We don't include pricing or invoices inside our packages, so you can send it directly to someone special.
